BRAINGAIN Adjustable Dumbbells: Smart & Space-Saving! Highly recommended! ;)

The BRAINGAIN Adjustable Dumbbells Set 12.5kg Pair has truly transformed my home workout routine. The space-saving design is a game-changer, especially when you don't have a dedicated gym room. It's remarkable how this one set effectively replaces 11 different dumbbell pairs, decluttering my workout area and making it much more organized.

What truly sets these dumbbells apart is the Smart Click Technology. Adjusting the weights is incredibly quick and seamless, which means I spend less time fumbling with equipment and more time actually working out. This smooth transition between weights is perfect for supersets or drop sets, allowing for a more efficient and effective training session.

Overall, if you're looking for a versatile, high-quality, and space-efficient solution for your home gym, the BRAINGAIN Adjustable Dumbbells are an excellent investment. They offer the functionality of multiple weights in a single, well-designed package, making them a fantastic choice for anyone serious about their fitness journey without needing a massive amount of equipment.

Space saving and convenient dumbbell set

I actually already own the 24kg set of dumbbells from Braingain and have loved it. This lighter set is even better, with a mechanism that is even more convenient.

The basic concept is that the weights are attached to the handle with pins that can be adjusted by rotating it while the dumbbells is in the stand. It works remarkably well and only takes a matter of seconds to change the weights, as shown in the video. Unlike the larger set, the mechanism applies to both sides of the dumbbell simultaneously.

The handle and weights seem good quality and the red and black colour scheme is pretty cool.

Compared to having separate dumbbells for the range of weights this offers, the space saving is fantastic. You get a whole set of weights in a very small footprint. They're not cheap, but I think the value is good if you're embarking on a weight lifting journey. Get this and you're covered for everything up to 12.5kg, which isn't a huge weight, but it may be more than enough depending on your strength and fitness. I'm currently rehabbing an injury and the lighter weights are more useful for now.

Highly recommended if you like the sound of the concept!

Very impressive

Super compact weights offering 11 different weight combinations, all available at the switch of a dial. An easy grip on the dumbbell, a comfortable bar to hold. Quick and extremely easy to change weights. Nice and sturdy and well made. A great space saving compact design.

Top Notch

Yes these are a great set of weights. Wether you work out casually, like me, or are more serious about building and maintaining your muscle tone, like my son. Either way these will do the job as well as any other similar small dumbbell weights. What sets these apart for me though is that they are so convenient to store. Once packed away they take up minimal space, don't roll around and are quick and easy to get out and set up again when needed. All very good quality and at a decent price.

One-click weightlifting...

I've had an adjustable dumbbell before (until a family member perma-borrowed it) and it was nothing like as slick as this pair of Braingain Adjustable Dumbbells. These are neater, although these things can never be small, and a lot less clunky and the weight change mechanism is as quick and simple as it could be. They arrive simply but securely boxed with just a simple instruction sheet and there's nothing to assemble, you basically just lift them out of the box, cut the strap holding the dumbbell onto its base and you're ready to go.

To change the current weight you just turn the handle while the dumbbell is sitting on its base, the current selection is visible at the top in line with the red bar and switching weights couldn't be much simpler. You have to place the dumbbell back on its base each time but it takes seconds and is still much quicker than fiddling with plates and collars. You get 11 different weights to choose from and no matter which you select the dumbbells remains solidly together and doesn't make unnerving rattling noises as you use it (my last one did) but there is a slight clicking noise as the plates move.

There's no avoiding that an adjustable dumbbell is longer and clunkier-looking than a plate equivalent but you don't have to adjust your exercises too much to accommodate the extra size. Or to put that another way, you'll only clunk yourself on the back of the head doing an overhead press the once, so learn your lesson and move on. The handgrip is narrower than most plate dumbbells, in fact my outsized hand fills it completely, but it's comfortable to hold with a slightly soft nonslip silicone sleeve.

The advantage of course is that a full set of dumbbells now takes up a lot less room in your home gym or under the bed. It is slightly awkward that the lowest weight dumbbell is the same size as the heaviest one and somehow you have to be a bit more aware of how you're handling them, but maybe that's a good thing which encourages better muscle control. These aren't the cheapest but the quality is really good and the mechanism is very slick and clever and the overall build quality is excellent.
